I’m not going to be the guy to defend the socio-whatever implications of Eastbound & Down but it didn’t call itself Male Identity Crisis & Down so maybe that’s why it didn’t get that coverage? Girls called itself Girls so people are writing about what it says about Girls and what kinds of Girls. I don’t love it either, but girlfriend was asking for it.
